What is Touch for Health
Touch for Health is a simple system which helps us to
concentrate on health and wellbeing. While many people use it to
deal with various health problems, it is equally applicable to
those who come sick, in pain or feeling continually tired, your
body is telling you that it needs urgent aid. Well before this,
however, it has been sending you warning signs. You may have
been feeling uncommonly tired or tense, be under stressed,
developed allergic reactions, aches or minor digestive upsets or
have that very common complaint “I just don’t feel well.”
Touch for health integrates the principles of both ancient
Oriental medicine (acupressure, meridians) and Western methods
of muscle testing (Kinesiology), and uses these methods to bring
balance to the body’s energies allowing you to deal with these
feelings of ‘not feeling quite right’ before things get to a
more serious stage. The T4H system enables you to pinpoint your
own particular stresses and with a variety of simple techniques
begin to put matters right once again. It is a simple system
that anyone can learn and use for ourselves, and with family and
friends.
What happens in a Touch for Health Balance?
A series of simple muscle tests are used to identify what
requires attention. The results of the tests can indicate
relative tightness here or tenderness there. The clearly
illustrated TFH handbook shows which of the techniques is needed
to assist the body to correct the imbalance. No equipment is
required, nor is there any need to undress. The procedure can be
done standing up or lying down and the balancer will then place
your limbs in a range of different positions and carry out a
simple pressure test. These tests may also be done standing up.
Possible corrections may include a form of massage on body
reflex points and the holding of acupressure points. Setting a
personal goal beforehand will produce even more profound
results.
Who can learn Touch for Health?
Everyone, The T4H system was designed for ordinary people to use
for themselves, their families and friends, so no previous
knowledge or experience is required. Whatever your situation,
young or old, health professional or layman, parent or business
person – you can learn to use and benefit from T4H.
Touch for Health is the most widely used system of Kinesiology
and is practiced world wide. Training is open to anyone
interested in health care and self help and is internationally
recognised as a fundamental Kinesiology. Training. Because of
this you can pick up your foundation training anywhere in the
world for we all work with the same syllabus.
Touch for Health is a simplified version of Applied Kinesiology
that was developed by John Thie. Touch for Health is a safe,
effective way to restore and maintain health and wellbeing.
What happens on a Touch for Health Course?
T4H courses are carefully graduated from the basic level 1 - 4
course that will teach you allow you to develop your skills from
scratch. Level one will allow you to how to carry out a simple
14-muscle balance. The course is supported by the TFH Handbook,
which after the course is over is an invaluable reference tool.

Perceptual Bodywork Course

A professional training course focussing on the use and
expansion of the senses whilst working with the body and energy
systems. Many of the techniques coming from Applied Kinesiology.
Summary
A Professional qualification in Kinesiology, recognised by the
Kinesiology Federation
8 day foundation training. (4 x 2 days).
12 days professional training ( 4 x 3 days).
2 days assessment
Focuses on deep perceptual awakening
Extensive range of practical techniques for use in, on and off
the body
Clear methods of working with clients.
The Foundation Level Training
The foundation training for the above
certificate is Touch for Health. Touch for Health is
internationally accepted as a thorough foundation training for
kinesiologists, and our courses are certificated by the
International Kinesiology College in Zurich. A brief overview of
the syllabus for Touch for Health includes: the art of muscle
checking; 42 different muscles; a study of the meridian system
and the Five Elements and their practical use; a wealth of
different techniques and balances for working with these
systems; techniques for pain; visual and auditory balancing;
emotional stress release; past trauma balancing; postural stress
release.
Students who have already taken Touch for Health Levels one to
four are exempt from this foundation training. If you have taken
an equivalent training in another school of kinesiology, you may
also be exempt - please feel free to discuss.
The Professional Level
Training
A fantastic series of four three day courses
leading to a professional Certificate in Perceptual Bodywork (PB
for short), and is recognised by the Kinesiology Federation as a
professional level qualification.
Perceptual Bodywork recognises the synergetic nature of the body
- the body operates as a ‘co-operative’ of countless smaller
systems and sub-systems. When these systems are working in
harmony, the body works as a whole with each system adding it’s
creative ‘output’ to the whole. Where these smaller systems are
‘fighting’ each other, energy is wasted and creativity
‘stifles’; the body is thrown into dis-harmony, and manifests
symptoms of illness, pain or discomfort.
Small but deep processes, focussed with precision, can allow
profound changes, restoring harmony and synergetic balance. This
depth comes with a keen level of perception, a vital skill for
deep work in kinesiology.
The training emphasises a major perceptual and intuitive
awakening. You will learn to ‘tune in’ to nine different senses
of your own and other people’s systems at a remarkably deep
level, resonating with the very physical and energetic
structures that hold the memories of reactive patterns. All
kinesiology processes are re-education. This only happens when
we are aware of what is changing. When we become aware, and are
able to help a client perceive, extraordinary changes can
happen.
The course material and structure encourages you to practice and
enhance your perceptual skills in a safe environment in which
feedback and comment on individual perceptual experiences are
highly valued and never judged. The material provides a wealth
of opportunities for new perceptual experience and personal
growth in the form of a rich collation of balances and
techniques covering a wide range of physical and energetic
structures in the body. General methods of balancing are
covered, as well as processes for many specific conditions.

Assessment
The assessment is bases on the same principles
as the course ethos itself, with a strong emphasis on
self-responsibility. Assessment is a simple process with three
sections. The first ‘theory’ section is a written ‘question and
answer self study pack, which you can do as you complete each of
the three training sessions. The second section is practical,
for which you make a brief record of fifty balances in which you
use PB. These balances can be any occasion in which you make use
of the course material whether as a pure ‘PB balance’ or in
combination with other techniques or processes that you know.
The third section is an assessment by a Kinesiology Federation
Assessor. The purpose if this assessment is to observe your
application of basic concepts and principles, and your way of
working with people, not to show detailed technical knowledge.
The assessment is a further weekend, the date for which is
agreed by the group.

their own system.
I do however feel that it is vitally important
that basic guidelines are followed to ensure that the work is
always carried out with the highest intent and the safety of
those involved in the process is safeguarded at all times. This
work has the possibility to reach great depths and help bring
about huge changes in those going through the process.

Raindrop
Technique

Trainer: Yvonne Jevons
|
|
| |
Raindrop Technique is truly incredible and
involves dropping neat essential oils directly onto the spinal
area Following the French method of application. Feathering
movements with the tips of the fingers are used to spread the
oil all along the spine and the Vita flex technique is used to
enhance the electrical flow along the nerves of the spinal
column and so to all parts of the body. The effects of this
treatment can last for up to seven weeks.
The key to its success is the use of
exceptionally high quality, therapeutic grade essential oils –
those of Young Living Essential Oils. The founder, Gary Young,
developed Raindrop Technique and the particular exquisite blends
used during the treatment.
Raindrop Technique brings about a balance within
physical body, emotional body and spiritual body – connecting
your aura with your physical body to assist you to feel at peace
within and release all that is no longer needed to allow
personal growth and harmony.
We will cover the properties and cautions of
these nine oils; how and why they are applied. It is a hands-on
workshop and each person will have the opportunity to give and
receive treatment and you can then discover for yourself just
how incredible the healing can be with Raindrop Techniques.

Tibetan
Reflexology

Trainer: Yvonne Jevons
|
|
| |
Tibetan Reflexology is an ancient Tibetan system
of healing applied to the feet and lower leg to aid rapid
healing. It works in conjunction with the nervous system using
the Vita flex (vitality through the reflexes) technique which
stimulates and heals the body, mind and spirit at a very deep
level. The hand technique is a rolling movement with all four
fingers as opposed to the ‘caterpillar’ moved used in classic
reflexology.
This is a great addition to any Reflexologist's repertoire. A
complete treatment usually lasts about 30-40 minutes, so is
ideal for use during taster sessions at health fairs, when time
is at a premium. The workshop is mostly hands on to enable you
to give and receive treatment and feel the immense benefit of
this particular technique.

Moving up to senior school can be exciting,
bewildering, scary and stressful. In this workshop we will look
at different ways to make the change up to new school and
dealing with the new routine as easy as possible. The techniques
we will practise can also be used at home and work.
We do not perform at our best under stress.
Sometimes when we are under stress, we say or do things we will
be unhappy about later.
Some of the things that may cause stress:
When I try to read or write, and can’t do it
very well.
When there is not enough time to get things done.
When I am yelled at, or people say things to me I don’t like.
Contents:
1. How Stress affects us
2. Muscle Testing
3. Switching on – Getting ready to work.
4. Zip ups
5. Water
6. Cross crawl – to energise the mind and body
7. Foot massage for easy walking
8. Lazy ‘8’s
9. Unroll your ears
10. Tune up your eyes
11. Express yourself
12. Talk to yourself
13. Other Possibilities
14. Good food –Bad food – what will help you learn, what will
slow you down.
15. Emotional Stress Release.
Notes for Parents
Touch for Health Kinesiology and Kinesiology in general are the
fastest growing science. It is something that is available to
everyone. Touch for Health was developed by John Thie, a
chiropractor and Applied Kinesiologist. He loved the way
kinesiology could alter peoples lives, physically, emotional and
nutritionally. So twenty-five years ago he sat down and devised
a health care programme that could be used by everybody. Touch
for Health kinesiology is now practised in over 60 countries.
During this 3 hour workshop we are going to show
you and your children ways to use kinesiology to show them how
to recognise when they are feeling “out of balance.” This is
what we call it when the three sides of our triangle of
physical, emotional and nutrition are out of balance. It could
be that they have no energy, craving foods, bodily discomfort,
have unhappy feelings etc. Then carry out some of the exercises,
feel and notice the change. Soon they will gain an understanding
of the exercises and how best to use them.
We can also use the comfort scale of 1 – 10. To
measure where we are at the beginning of a balance and where we
have moved to after a balance. One being really low and fed up
and grumpy too ten where you are happy, all set up and rearing
to go! Great learning tools for all the family to share, even
Gran!

Reiki Attunements
Trainer: Karen Pharazyn
Reiki is a system of natural healing with it’s roots dating back
several thousand years. The meaning of the word can be
translated as – ‘Universal Life Force Energy’.
The word Reiki can be further broken down into it’s two
component parts:
Rei relates to the Universal Spirit, mysterious power, essence,
boundless aspect of energy.
Ki is described as the Vital Force Energy.
‘Rei’ and Ki’ are thought to originate from ‘Raku-Kei’ from the
Japanese language Kanji. Raku-Kei is the ‘art and science’ of
self-improvement as used by Tibetan Lamas over a period of
several thousand years.
It is likely that the technique was first used by Tibetan
Buddhist monks originally, and was then re-discovered around the
later part of the 19th Century in Japan by Dr. Kikao Usui.
The Usui system of healing is an essentially simple, gentle yet
powerful technique involving in its main part the ‘laying on of
hands’ and also Distant or Absent Healing.
The Attunements themselves opens the crown, heart and palm
Chakras allowing Reiki Healing Energy to flow through and be
received by others.
Reiki I
The 1st Degree Attunement awakens the natural healing ability
that we all have allowing healing to occur on the physical
level. As soon as your hands make contact, the healing energy
will flow naturally and will stop automatically when the hands
are removed.
Reiki I will enable you to give treatments to family and friends
plus healing to yourself.
A 2 day intensive course over a weekend with a maximum of 6
students.
Cost: £100
Reiki II
The 2nd Degree Attunement enhances the 1st Degree and leads to a
more refined and strengthened channel of Reiki Healing.
Completing Reiki II will allow the student to become a Reiki
Practitioner.
Reiki II concentrates more on the subtle and etheric body rather
than the physical body. Students are initiated into three sacred
symbols which will increase the energy flow and enable the
projection of Reiki for distant and absent healing. The symbols
also enable the practitioner to focus energy on mental and
emotional energy blocks.
A 2 day intensive course over a weekend with a maximum of 6
students.
Cost: £150
Reiki III
The 3rd Degree Attunement enhances further the first 2 degrees

Energy.

yet be ready to become a Reiki Master and teacher of Reiki but
would like to further their knowledge and abilities in Reiki
Healing.
A 1 day course with a maximum of 6 Reiki Practitioners.
Cost: £200
