What is Touch for Health

Touch for Health is a simple system which helps us to concentrate on health and wellbeing. While many people use it to deal with various health problems, it is equally applicable to those who come sick, in pain or feeling continually tired, your body is telling you that it needs urgent aid. Well before this, however, it has been sending you warning signs. You may have been feeling uncommonly tired or tense, be under stressed, developed allergic reactions, aches or minor digestive upsets or have that very common complaint “I just don’t feel well.”

Touch for health integrates the principles of both ancient Oriental medicine (acupressure, meridians) and Western methods of muscle testing (Kinesiology), and uses these methods to bring balance to the body’s energies allowing you to deal with these feelings of ‘not feeling quite right’ before things get to a more serious stage. The T4H system enables you to pinpoint your own particular stresses and with a variety of simple techniques begin to put matters right once again. It is a simple system that anyone can learn and use for ourselves, and with family and friends.

What happens in a Touch for Health Balance?

A series of simple muscle tests are used to identify what requires attention. The results of the tests can indicate relative tightness here or tenderness there. The clearly illustrated TFH handbook shows which of the techniques is needed to assist the body to correct the imbalance. No equipment is required, nor is there any need to undress. The procedure can be done standing up or lying down and the balancer will then place your limbs in a range of different positions and carry out a simple pressure test. These tests may also be done standing up. Possible corrections may include a form of massage on body reflex points and the holding of acupressure points. Setting a personal goal beforehand will produce even more profound results.

Who can learn Touch for Health?

Everyone, The T4H system was designed for ordinary people to use for themselves, their families and friends, so no previous knowledge or experience is required. Whatever your situation, young or old, health professional or layman, parent or business person – you can learn to use and benefit from T4H.
Touch for Health is the most widely used system of Kinesiology and is practiced world wide. Training is open to anyone interested in health care and self help and is internationally recognised as a fundamental Kinesiology. Training. Because of this you can pick up your foundation training anywhere in the world for we all work with the same syllabus.

Touch for Health is a simplified version of Applied Kinesiology that was developed by John Thie. Touch for Health is a safe, effective way to restore and maintain health and wellbeing.

What happens on a Touch for Health Course?

T4H courses are carefully graduated from the basic level 1 - 4 course that will teach you allow you to develop your skills from scratch. Level one will allow you to how to carry out a simple 14-muscle balance. The course is supported by the TFH Handbook, which after the course is over is an invaluable reference tool.

I do however feel that it is vitally important that basic guidelines are followed to ensure that the work is always carried out with the highest intent and the safety of those involved in the process is safeguarded at all times. This work has the possibility to reach great depths and help bring about huge changes in those going through the process.

Notes for Parents
Touch for Health Kinesiology and Kinesiology in general are the fastest growing science. It is something that is available to everyone. Touch for Health was developed by John Thie, a chiropractor and Applied Kinesiologist. He loved the way kinesiology could alter peoples lives, physically, emotional and nutritionally. So twenty-five years ago he sat down and devised a health care programme that could be used by everybody. Touch for Health kinesiology is now practised in over 60 countries.

During this 3 hour workshop we are going to show you and your children ways to use kinesiology to show them how to recognise when they are feeling “out of balance.” This is what we call it when the three sides of our triangle of physical, emotional and nutrition are out of balance. It could be that they have no energy, craving foods, bodily discomfort, have unhappy feelings etc. Then carry out some of the exercises, feel and notice the change. Soon they will gain an understanding of the exercises and how best to use them.

We can also use the comfort scale of 1 – 10. To measure where we are at the beginning of a balance and where we have moved to after a balance. One being really low and fed up and grumpy too ten where you are happy, all set up and rearing to go! Great learning tools for all the family to share, even Gran!
